Vol. I: [viii], 468, [2] p., [2] pl. (1 fold.). - Vol. II: [ii], xii, [iv] p., 132 f., [iv] p.,132 illus., engr. t.-pl., [63] leaves carrying 125 pl. Generally the 132 folios each carry one print with accompanying text, but folios 47, 86 and 107 each carry a full-page print and are followed by bis folios carrying printed text on both recto and verso. The [63] leaves of plates at the end generally carry two prints per leaf, but plate 85 has a leaf to itself.

Responsibility Note

The signatures of Edme Bouchardon as draughtsman and P. Soubeyran as engraver appear in Volume I on the dedication plate and the headpiece of the Treatise; the folding plate and the other decorations are unsigned. In Volume II the engraved title-plate is signed as drawn by Ed. Bouchardon; no other plates are signed.

The work is dedicated to Louis XV.
