RA Collection: People and Organisations
Established by Vilhelm Tryde (1837-1918) as a bookstore and art shop in Copenhagen in 1864. Chief supplier of Scandinavian, French, German, English and Italian books.
Vilhelm’s son Ove Tryde joins the business in 1897 and becomes co-owner in 1900. In 1938 the publishing house is discontinued and the bookshop is taken over by P.E. Hagerup.
