John Jabez Edwin Mayall 1813-1901 opened a second studio at 224 Regent Street (Argyll Place) around 1852. His first studio, the American Daguerreotype Institution, at 433 West Strand was sold in 1855 to Jabez Hughes. Pritchard lists the dates of various Mayall studios at 224 Regent St as:

John & Edwin Mayall 1866-1867

John & Edwin Mayall & Thomas Henry Collins 1868 - 1871

John Mayall 1875 - 1893.

Mayall also had a studio at 91, Kings Road, Brighton.
