"The company began making candles, founded by William Waterston in 1752. In 1828 the company began making stationary and then went to printing in 1865. The company was run under the name Waterston & Son from 1831 onward. Their address was 52 George St in Edinburgh where they were until closing their doors in 2003. Records of the company and family are now held at the National Library of Scotland." [Source: British Museum website].
