William Cave Thomas (1820 - 1906)

Studied at the Royal Academy Schools in London and the academy in Munich. After travelling in Germany and Italy he returned to London in 1843. He exhibited there in the same year and won a prize of £100 in the competition for the decoration of the Houses of Parliament. He continued exhibiting in London until 1884. He was also a prolific writer on art. Writer on ethics, metaphysics and mural decoration.
