Second son of Paul Sandby R.A. Appointed drawing-master at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich in 1797 (in succession to his father) Married Harriott Sandby (daughter of Thomas Sandby RA). Retired from Woolwich Academy 1828; died in Jersey, 1832 (see Sandby 1892, p.189)
