Simon François Ravenet junior (b. 1737)

Engraver, in London, Paris and Parma. Son of engraver Simon François Ravenet, A.R.A. (d. 1774). He initially trained with his father, and after his death moved to Paris in the mid-1770s and studied under François Boucher. In 1779 he was appointed engraver to the duke of Parma. He became director of the academy in Parma. Between 1779 and 1885 he made a series of engravings of the paintings of Correggio in that city.
