Miss Sara Monckton Pattle (one of the celebrated ‘Pattle sisters’); in 1835 married Henry Thoby Prinsep (1792-1878), whom she accompanied in India 1835-43. Sister of photographer Julia Margaret Cameron and Virginia, Countess Somers; mother of painter Valentine C. Prinsep, R.A. (1838-1904).
