Roger Zogolovitch (b. May 1947)

Zogolovitch studied at the Architectural Association in London between 1965 and 1971. Fellow students included Nicholas Campbell, Rex Wilkinson and Piers Gough RA with whom he formed the architectural practice CZWG in 1975. Zogolovitch left the partnership in the late 1990s to concentrate on development and for a time became a client of the practice primarily in the design of new unconventional workspace buildings capitalizing on the practice’s experience with redundant commercial buildings and focusing on a small business design studio, developed in groups of all sizes. He founded Solidspace in 2003, as an independent developer which aims to “create bespoke, sensitive and well-designed projects that unlock the potential of small backland gap sites that others’ may overlook.”

Zogolovitch was the director of the Infrastructure and Development course at the London School of Economics. He has served as president to the Architectural Association from 1991-93, was a working group member of the UK government’s Urban Task Force, and has was appointed Honorary surveyor to the Royal Academy in 2015.
