Norman James Richard Little (1883 - 1917)

Studied at the Royal Academy Schools form 26 July 1904 to July 1909. By 1911, he was an established artist and illustrator.

During the First World War he served with the Royal Fusiliers 11th Battalion as a Lieutenant. He was killed in action, aged 33 years, on 13 March 1917 and as he has no known grave he is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Rue de l‘Ancre, Thiepval, France. He is also commemorated on the on Royal Academy memorial at Burlington House to the RA Schools students who lost their lives in the First World War.
