Marek Laczynski (b. 1926)

Laczynski fought in World War II before arriving in Britain in 1946. He studied book illustration at the Borough Polytechnic (1949-52) and lithography at the Central School of Art and Craft (1962-64). He then taught at Exeter College from 1964 until 1985, when he moved to Austria. In 1965 Laczynski became a founder member of the Printmakers’ Council.
