Isobel Cholmeley (1830 - fl. 1870s)

Cholmeley lived and studied in Rome in the 1860s, possibly with John Gibson RA. She produced portrait busts of Gibson, Franz Liszt, Edmonia Lewis and others, some of which were exhibited at the Royal Academy. In 1855 she married Hugh Edward Cholmeley. He died in Sorrento in 1870 and Isobel remarried an Italian official named Bermani in Venice.
