Sir Henry Trueman Wood (1845 - 1929)

Secretary of the Royal Society of Arts (1879–1917). As Trueman Wood he contributed fifteen articles to the earliest volumes of the Dictionary of National Biography published in 1885 and 1886 and a further eight in later volumes on persons of whom he had special knowledge. His major publications were Industrial England in the Middle of the Eighteenth Century (1910) and A History of the Royal Society of Arts (1913).
