Miss Georgiana Shipley; in 1784 married historian Francis Hare-Naylor (1753-1815). They lived in Italy, Britain and from 1804 Weimar. A pupil of Joshua Reynolds, she exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1781. Daughter of Jonathan Shipley, Bishop of St Asaph’s; sister of Lady Anna Maria Jones (wife of orientalist Sir William Jones); cousin of Georgiana, duchess of Devonshire.
