George Henry Andrews (1816 - 1898)

Agricultural engineer and marine artist. Contributed to the Illustrated London News, and The Graphic.

In 1837 he accompanied Richard W.H. Howard-Vyse on an archaeological expedition to Egypt, where he served as an engineer and illustrator for Howard-Vyse’s three-volume Operations Carried on at the Pyramids of Gizeh (1840-42). As Special Artist he accompanied the Prince of Wales to North America in 1860.
