Frederick Brook Hitch (1877 - 1957)

British sculptor. Son of architectural sculptor Nathaniel Hitch (1845-1938) and brother of the architect John Oliver Brook Hitch (1887-1953). (The latter studied architecture at the RA Schools 25 July 1912 to November 1922).

Attended the Royal Academy Schools from 1902-7. In 1902 he was awarded a second prize for a model of a design, and a second prize for a model of statue or group. [See Royal Academy, ‘Annual Report, 1902’, (1903), p. 27]. In 1904, he won a second prize for a set of four models of a figure from the life. [See ‘Annual Report, 1904’, (1905), p. 28].
