Frank Kent was born in London in 1987, He graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2010.
Frank uses a variety of materials to build objects or create situations that allude to their surroundings. His work is unified by a fascination with how things are made, manipulating materials to refer to their properties and constructing relationships between textures, forms, and colours.
Frank’s recent interest in 18th-century furniture has left him reflecting on the longevity of things. Making with an eye to the future and considering how something might age plays a part in deciding what to make and how to make it.
