Frank Dudman (b. ca.1854)

RA Collection: People and Organisations

Photographer. Working for Joseph Parkin Mayall, Dudman photographed many Academicians, 16 of which published in Artists at Home, 1884. Born in Brighton ca.1854. He seems to have moved to London after 1871, having addresses at Ladbroke Crescent, Notting Hill, London, 27 Bloemfontein, Uxbridge Road, Shepherds Bush and later at Hammersmith and Fulham (113 Hazlebury Road). He married in 1877, his marriage certificate giving his profession as artist, though by 1881, census returns list him as photographer. The above information has been supplied by Dudman’s great-grandson William Dudman (0208 567 1392).
