Ellen “Nelly” G. Woolrich and sister Sofita Woolrich were American binders employed at 5 Bloomsbury Square during the early 20th century. They exhibted at the Art and Crafts Exhibition Society exhibition in 1903 and 1916. It is not known where Ellen Woolrich received her training in the art of bookbinding but she collaborated closely with Douglas Cockerell (1870–1945), Francis Sangorski (1875–1912) and George Sutcliffe (1878–1943), all of from whom she potentially derived her craft.
