Coco Crampton

Coco Crampton (b.1983, London, England) is a sculptor whose practice co-opts many traditional crafts, evoking a notion of communal activity and small-scale production.

Crampton previously studied at Norwich School of Art and Design. She arranges objects into playful landscapes, creating reveries that attempt to keep alive the harmonious idea of freedom in and through production, pointing to artists as a last repository of these ideals.

Crampton has developed an aesthetic through processes of borrowing, hijacking and reinterpreting from visionary forms of 20th-century design, art, and architecture.
