Frech born reproductive etcher

Charles Albert Waltner studied art in Paris under Henriquel-Dupont, Gerome and Martinet. He first exhibited his etchings at the Paris Salon in 1870, and afterwards contributed to many major exhibitions. The French government appointed him a chevalier of the Legion d‘honneur in 1882.
