Professor Arthur Thomson F.R.C.S. (1858 - 1935)

Thomson studied medicine at Edinburgh University and became Professor of Human Anatomy at Oxford. In his spare time he painted watercolours and exhibited some of them at the Royal Academy where he was also appointed professor in 1900. He wrote A Handbook of Anatomy for Art Students.
