Responsibility Note
In Volume I the frontispiece is signed as painted by Giorgio Vasari and engraved by Maurizio Steinla, and the two plates are unsigned. In Volume II three plates are signed as drawn by G. Rossi and one by V. Gozzini, and all as engraved by Lasinio Fig.
The work is dedicated by 'F.T.' to the memory 'Dell'Estinto Suo Figliuolo Torquato Fanciullo D'Anni Dieci'.

Cellini's autobiography was first published under the patronage of Lord Burlington in 1728. English translations include those by Thomas Nugent (1771), Thomas Roscoe (1822) and John Addington Symonds (1888).
The plates show: vol. I (frontis.) portrait, 'Benvenuto Cellini'; [1] a letter written by Cellini; [2] 'Arme Cellini'; vol. II [1] 'Saliera'; [2] 'Cosimo Io'; [3] 'Bindo Altoviti'; [4] 'Perseo'.
Reproductions
A critical edition by O. Bacci, was published at Florence in 1901; an edition with bibliography and indices was published in 1996 at Parma by Fondazione Pietro Bembo (ISBN 8877469005).
