No publication-date is carried by the title page, but the 'Address' carries the date of October 1834 and states that 'The publication of Part XII. of "London And Its Vicinity" completes the work'. The work had been published serially from 1826. A few plates carry publication-dates of 1826, 1828 and 1833; and several signatures of draughtsman or engraver are accompanied by dates, of 1826, 1827, 1828, 1832, 1833, 1834.

George Cooke had intended to produce eighty prints from copper plates, but when rivals published views printed on steel plates, he reduced the number of his copper plates to forty-eight. (B. Adams reports an issue with 50 plates, the last two not included in the 'Descriptions Of The Plates' and carrying no date or publication line.)
