As they are probably the earliest books in the English language relating to the art of engraving, they are of the greatest interest to students of Bibliography of that subject. Provenance

With a hand-written letter dated Feb 22/11 from H.C. Levis, 40 Egerton Gardens, S.W. loosely inserted which reads: `Dear Mr Short [?] : I enclose pulls from the 1/2tme blocks made from the photographs you let me take. They came out very well + will be valuable illustrations for my book. [Illegible sentence]. Sincerely yours . H.C. Levis.’
