As they are probably the earliest books in the English language relating to the art of engraving, they are of the greatest interest to students of Bibliography of that subject. With a hand-written letter dated Feb 22/11 from H.C. Levis, 40 Egerton Gardens, S.W. loosely inserted which reads: `Dear Mr Short [?] : I enclose pulls from the 1/2tme blocks made from the photographs you let me take. They came out very well + will be valuable illustrations for my book. [Illegible sentence]. Sincerely yours . H.C. Levis.’
