General Note

This work contains 35 title-pages designed by Peter Paul Rubens for the Plantin Press between 1612 and 1640 and printed from the original plates. The printer's device on the title-page of this volume, as well as the one at the end of the work, are both also designed by Rubens for the Plantin Press. The reprinted title-pages are preceded by descriptive text written by Max Rooses, printed in parallel text (Flemish and French). The book was published by order of the Musée Plantin-Moretus.

Binding Note

The book is bound in cream cloth with lettering on the spine in black ink, 'Titels En Portretten Naar P. P. Rubens' and 'R. A. Antwerpen 1877'.
