Summary Note
This anonymous critique of the Royal Academy's management of its annual exhibition is addressed 'To Messrs. Calderon, Faed, Hook, Lewis, Leighton, Millais, Pettie, and Watts ...' as the 'worthiest among the Royal Academicians ... None [of whom] know better ... that our strictures are true, and that our cause is just ...' (p.[1]). This 'second edition' is an unaltered re-impression of the first (q.v.).
