"An edition of this Book was issued by Leonard Smithers in 1896, in crown quarto: 500 copies on deckle-edged paper, with the plates printed on imitation Japanese vellum, and 25 copies on Japanese velum.

The present issue consists of 1,000 copies on art paper and 50 copies on Japanese vellum, in demy 16mo. The publisher thinks that the reproduction in size of the plates in this edition has in no way injured their attractiveness or brilliancy; a new cover design has been furnished by Mr. Beardsley, and the cover design to the 1896 edition is reproduced on the third page of this volume."
