The frontispiece to Vol. I is a mezzotint portrait of William Vincent, D.D. Dean of Westminster, after a portrait by William Owen R.A., engraved by Henry Meyer. The added engraved title-plate of Vol. II is a coloured aquatint view of the monument of Aymer de Valance enclosing the title 'Westminster Abbey And The Monvments'. This copy of the title-plate is credited to Frederick Mackenzie in error (engraved by Samuel Mitan); in its second state the draughtsman is corrected to A. Pugin.
