The illustrations are unsigned. According to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography Thomas Bewick's son, Robert Elliot Bewick, contributed to his father's The Fables Of Aesop. The printer's name is expanded in the colophon: 'Newcastle: Printed By Edward Walker.' The work is dedicated by Thomas Bewick 'To the Youth of the British Isles'.

Summary Note
