Summary Note

The first volume includes letters to Princesse Kourakin; and the second, letters to Comtesse Vincent Potocka, née Masalska. The Souvenirs had first been published in 1835-7.

The verso of the front loose endpaper of Volume I is inscribed in pencil, 'S.A.H.', i.e. S.A. Hart, librarian of the Royal Academy 1864-81.
