Neither the title-plate nor any other plate carries a date; but the address given on the title-plate was Huquier's from 1738 to 1749.

Copy Note

Each print has been pasted in. In addition to the seven prints showing Boucher's designs for fountains there are also pasted in six small prints on mythic or allegoric subjects (two on each the first three sheets) and five small prints on the life of Christ (two each the fourth and fifth sheets and one on the sixth sheet). None of these small prints carries a signature, imprint or caption.

Binding Note

18th-century sprinkled calf; rebacked in 1996, retaining earlier red and black morocco spine-labels lettered 'Oeuvres De Bouche & De La Iou'. Bound with 'Livre de Cartouches Inventés par François Boucher' and 20 others.
