Responsibility Note

Almost all plates are signed, 'P. S. F.' or 'P.S.' [i.e. Pietro Stefanoni?]; one is signed 'C.L.' and has the name 'Lucas Ciamber' written in full in the middle of the plate. Some appear to reproduce earlier signatures of drawings: 'Michael: Ang. Bonar. inv.', 'AESR' (?), 'Aug F', 'Marius Cartarius inventor', 'A.F.', 'Lucas de Urbino f.', 'Anib. Caraci f.'; and one reproduces a date, '1599'.

The catalogue of the Vatican Library names the publisher as Pietro Stefanoni.
