Cet habile Peintre travailla successivement sous Vangoyen, Meyaer, Grebber et Woenninx, qu'il surpassa. La richesse de la composition, le charme du coloris, les effets piquants de lumière, l'esprit avec lequel il peignait les Animaux, sont les qualités qu'on remarque dans ses Ouvrages. L'on a ajouté, à cette intéreollection, dix Planches gravées par Wischer; cinq d'après Laer, et les cinq autres d'après Wouvermans.

No publication-date is given on the title page; but 'Jean, Marchand D'Estampes' was partner of L.J. Mondhare, and operated alone from Mondhare's address at rue Saint-Jean-de-Beauvais when Mondhare ceased to be active, ca. 1792.
