Some of the 104 numbered prints are printed two-per-sheet. Forty-five of them are accompanied each by an unnumbered (sometimes smaller) print; in addition there are 17 in-text illustrations (incl. t.-p. vignette) - making the total of 166 engravings called-for on the title page. The smaller print below print no. 15 is inverted. The plate numbered 52 is an in-text illustration. Four groups of plates carry a Roman as well as an Arab number: pl. 26-38, also numbered I-XIII; pl. 39-44, I-VI; pl. 46-52, I-XII; pl. 53-57, I-V.

Responsibility Note
