Responsibility Note
Almost all the etchings are signed as made, or designed and made, by Stefano Della Bella ('fecit' or 'invent. et fecit'). But those of the eighth and ninth (untitled) groups are signed as designed by Della Bella and made by Colignon; and the second etching of the eleventh (untitled) group is signed as designed by Guidus Renus Bononiensis and made by S.D. Bella.
A publisher's imprint appears on groups [6] ('Varie figure'), [7] ('Al Sermo. Principe') and [10] ('Varii Capricii Militari'): '[F.L.D.] Ciartres excud[it] cum priv. regis' (i.e. François Langlois, de Chartres).
