Provenance

The title page of Part I is inscribed in ink, 'R.N. Wornum München 1842 -'. The front pastedown is inscribed in ink, 'from Brulliot's collection', and in pencil 'S.A.H.', i.e. S.A. Hart, librarian of the Royal Academy 1864-81.

Copy Note

The last plate is inscribed in pencil, 'Not at all in the style of Raphael RNW'.

Binding Note

19th-century marbled-papered boards; rebacked in 20th century, red morocco spine-label lettered 'Rafael'.
