520 2 # $a Most of the statues shown are ancient; but thirty-six plates show modern statues, by Bernini, Michelangelo, Giambologna, Fancelli, Andrea Lombardo, Lorenese, Baratta, Nocchieri, Algardi, Lorenzo de Credi, Duquesnoy and P. Ligorio. Some statues are shown from more than one angle. The Sposizioni describe 161 plates; the additional plate, numbered 162, shows a statue of Pope Paul IV ascribed to Pirro Ligorio. According to the RIBA catalogue the presence of this additional plate indicates that this set is from the 1740 reissue.
