The first volume is dedicated by Carlo Barbiellini to Cardinal Silvio Valenti; the remainder are dedicated by the publishers, the second to Cardinal Girolamo Colonna; the third to D. Andrea Corsini; the fourth to D. Innocenzio Conti; the fifth to D. Sergio Sersale; the sixth, to Gio. Diaz Guerra.
In the sixth volume the Pagliarini imprint is given on the title-page in the form, 'Nella Stamperia Di Pallade'.

Summary Note
The publication-dates carried on the title-pages of the six volumes were 1757, 1757, 1759, 1764, 1766 and 1768.
The titles in Volumes III-VI omit the words between 'Architettura' and 'Tomo'.
The collection includes letters from Bottari's contemporaries. Volume VI includes F. Zuccaro's Dell'idea de' pittori, scultori, e architetti (first published in 1607), which Pagliarini also published separately in the same year.
A seventh volume was published in 1773, edited by Bottari and Luigi Crespi and largely containing their own correspondence.
