$a The publication-dates carried on the title-pages of the six volumes were 1757, 1757, 1759, 1764, 1766 and 1768. The titles in Volumes III-VI omit the words between 'Architettura' and 'Tomo'. The collection includes letters from Bottari's contemporaries. Volume VI includes F. Zuccaro's Dell'idea de' pittori, scultori, e architetti (first published in 1607), which Pagliarini also published separately in the same year. A seventh volume was published in 1773, edited by Bottari and Luigi Crespi and largely containing their own correspondence. |
