Summary Note

This is 'Tomo Quarto' as being uniform with Zatta's three-volume 'Divina Commedia' of 1757, the first volume of which carried the half-title, 'Opere Di Dante Alighieri'.

The first Part contains: Vita Nuova; Convito; Pistola all'Imperadore Arrigo; Volgare Eloquenza (in Latin and Italian); Rime; Epistola Kani Grandi. The second Part contains: Memorie; Lettera di G.V. Vanetti; Salmi Penitenziali; Il Credo di Dante; Alcuni Versi di Dante; Altri Versi di Dante; Sonetto di Dante; Dantis Monarchia.

The plates of Part I consist of a frontispiece and three illustrations accompanying the Vita Nuova, Convito and Rime. Those of Part II consist of a folding genealogy of Dante and three illustrations accompanying the Salmi Penitenziali, the Credo and the Monarchia. Both parts are also decorated with title-page vignettes, headpieces and tailpieces.
