General Note

Vol. I: 77 leaves, carrying 90 plates, all numbered by hand, and with a list of the numbered plates pasted inside the front cover. (All plates are pasted on rectos, except pl.36, which is pasted on the verso of pl.35).

Responsibility Note

Most of the plates are signed as painted or drawn by Hogarth, and engraved by him. Some are signed as engraved by G. Scotin, B. Baron, C. Ravenet, R.F. Ravenet, Luke Sullivan, J. Bell, C. Grignion, Picot and Delatre; some are signed as engraved by Hogarth in collaboration with C. Grignion, C. Mosley, L. Sullivan, Le Cave, F. Aviline.

Volume I contains plates 1-90.
