The paper on which the images are printed is Somerset 28 gsm mould made while the interleaving paper is Hahnemuhle Bugra Butten.

The text is set in Bulmer type and was printed from lineblocks.

The papers to bind book and box involve woodcuts by the artist and were printed at The Old Stile Press. The binding work was undertaken at The Fine Bindery, Wellingborough. [Colophon].

Self-portraits date from the 1950's while a number of joyous portraits of his children were cut when the family went to live in Fiji in 1963.
