Each one, except no. [5] carries the printer's imprint - usually that of the Calcografía de la Impta. Nl. (or Calcografía Nacional), but twice of J.M. Mateus, Madrid, once that of D. Castell, Madrid, once that of J. Donon, Madrid.

Of the ten coloured plates six (pl. [1, 2, 3, 7, 16, 17]) are signed as engraved (by E. Ancelet or L. Iranzo) and carry the imprint of the Calcografia de la Imprenta Nacional, and four (pl. [4, 5, 6, 11]) are signed as chromolithographed or lithographed (by Teo. Ruffle or F. Kraus), of which pl. [5] carries no lithographic printer's imprint, pl. [4] and [6] carry that of J.M. Mateu and pl. [11] carries that of D. Castell.

Summary Note

There is no title-page in the Royal Academy's copy; our title is the caption-title of the Introduccion. Some copies have bound in the paper cover of this cuaderno, of which the title reads, 'Monumentos Arquitectónicos De España. Publicados de Rl. Orden y por disposicion de Ministerio de Fomentos. Cuaderno No.'

The text is printed in Spanish and French in parallel.
