There is no title-page or text (in the Royal Academy's copy). Some copies have bound in the paper cover, which carries the title, 'Monumentos Arquitectónicos De España. Publicados de Rl. Orden y por disposicion del Ministerio de Fomento. Cuaderno No. Madrid Imprenta y calcografia nacional.'

The plates are captioned, and show: [1]longitudinal section; [2] principal façade; [3] details of the garden front and of the Patio de los Leones; [4, 5] plans; of the Palacio de los Duques del Infantado, Guadalajara. The palace was commissioned by Don Iñigo Lopez de Mendoza, Marques de Santillana, and built between 1480 and 1500 in a style blending Mudejar and Flamboyant Gothic forms, under the direction of Juan Guas. The sculptors Egas Cueman and Lorenzo de Trillo also worked on the building.

Copy Note

The paper cover in the Royal Academy's copy is inscribed in ink, 'Palacio de los Duques del Infantado (Guadalajara)'.
