Summary Note

The frontispiece is a portrait of Leonardo. Plates I-III show drawings by Leonardo - I. a human head in profile, with notes; II. elevation of a building with a columned portico, human figures, and the head of a dog; III. human figures, arm-bones, and a horse.

Copy Note

Appears defective, lacking p.1-6. According to the Catalogue of the British Library the present work was part of the edition of Leonardo da Vinci's Trattato della pittura published in Milan in 1804 by the 'Società Tip. de' Classici Italiani'. A separate edition of Amoretti's Memorie was also published in Milan in 1804 (having 199 pages).
