Provenance
The front pastedown carries a printed notice, reading, 'Abate Giovachino Mugnoz Spagnuolo donò alla Comune di Bologna 1844. Tom.', further inscribed in ink, 'H. 2642.' The verso of the front free-endpaper is inscribed in pencil 'S.A.H.', i.e. S.A. Hart, librarian of the Royal Academy 1864-81. Purchased for RA Library in 1879 (see RA Annual Report for 1879, p. 48).
Binding Note
19th-century half calf, paper-covered boards (patterned to resemble tree calf); rebacked in 20th century, retaining much of earlier spine-piece lettered 'In Toscana' and 'R.A.'
