The frontispiece portrait of David Scott is signed as painted by himself. The first plate is signed as drawn by G. Sanders and engraved by R. Scott; the second and fourth as by David Scott and 'WBS'; the third is unsigned, but described in the list of Illustrations as an etching by D. Scott; the fifth is captioned as 'One of David Scott's Latest Designs' and signed 'WBS'. The title-page vignette is signed 'David Scott'.

The printer is named in the colophon: 'Edinburgh: Printed By Robert Clark.'

The rear pastedown carries the binder's ticket, 'Bound By John Gray - Edinburgh'.
