This work was published in 300 numbered copies of which numbers 1-100 were published in German and numbers 101-300 in French; this copy is number 283. This notice appears on the verso of the title-page. A further special reserved set of 40 copies were published numbered I-XXXX.
Binding Note
The binding is a red cloth publishers' binding with gold decoration with the arms of Frederick II, King of Prussia, on the front baord. The spine has the King's cypher and is lettered in gold, 'Seidel Oeuvres D'Art Françaises Du XVIIIe Siècle' and, at the foot of the spine, 'Giesecke & Devrient Berlin + Leipzig'.
