The Prefazione of the 'Manuale Storico Dell'Arte Greca', which forms Tome I of the series 'Raccolta Artistica' of which this edition of Vasari's Vite forms Tomo II-XV, states that the 'Socj collaboratori alla edizione del Vasari' were Fr. Vincenzo Marchese, Carlo Milanesi, Gaetano Milanesi and Carlo Pini.

The plates are unsigned.

The publication-dates are given on the title-pages as 1846 (v. 1, 2), 1848 (v.3, 4), 1849 (v.5), 1850 (v.6), 1851 (v.7), 1852 (v.8), 1853 (v.9), 1854 (v.10), 1855 (v.11), 1856 (v.12), 1857 (v.13 ed ultimo), 1870 (v.14 Indici). The volume of Indici (1870) replaces the imprint of 'Felice Le Monnier' with that of 'Successori Le Monnier'. The fourteen volumes form tomes II-XV of the series 'Raccolta Artistica'; of which Tomo I was 'Manuale Storico Dell'Arte Greca' (1846).

The plates are all woodcut portraits of artists.
